This one sits on top of the monitor — not next to it, not behind it — so the light falls onto the desk in front of you, not into the camera, not back at the screen. The optics are cut asymmetrically so nothing bounces off the panel. Your monitor stays a monitor. Your desk stops looking like a cave at 6pm.
Three colour temperatures cover the day. 6500K for the morning when you actually need to read. 4200K for the four hours in the middle when the room can't decide if it's day or night. 2900K for the evening, when warm light is the difference between finishing one more thing and closing the laptop.
The body is matte black engineered polymer — the same material every monitor light bar in this category is made from, because anything heavier would torque the monitor bezel over a year of use. The clip pivots once, sits flush against any flat or curved screen up to about 3cm thick, and disappears.
Touch controls live on the right end. One tap for brightness. One tap for colour. USB-C in. No driver, no app, no software.

Avoid solvents, abrasive sponges, and prolonged direct sunlight. Wood will darken slightly at points of contact over time. Aluminum will develop a faint patina. Felt softens. These are not defects. They are how good materials behave when they're used.
